Sorry to hear you're not well. I got sick over the holidays and it's still hanging on a bit which is seriously annoying. I'll look forward to the bread you'll make and pass on the meme (since I just did one on one of my blogs...) : ) Cheers!

Thanks all for your get-well wishes!

Zainab & Meedo, thanks for thinking of me to participate in the meme.

Lotte, I'm glad you're liking the Norwich sourdough!

Tanna, I didn't weave hands, but BY hand, which I suppose would have been equally well communicated by just saying weaver. My loom is still with me, but in garage storage and has not seen any action in quite some time. Family nurse practitioner (i.e., I should know better than to not get my flu shot!)

Ulrike, thank you!

Dan, I'm not against tweaking if it's in a spirit of experimentation and learning, or if you're experienced enough to know how your tweaks will affect things. Let me know how the spelt miche turns out!

Judy, how sad about your loom. I can't bear to part with mine even though I'm no longer using it. Yes, a hundred favorite foods might be enough!

Hope you're feeling better by now. I've enjoyed learning more about you. I used to hand weave as well until my loom was accidentally left behind during a move. I've also vacationed in Kauai and Sevilla, and would find it difficult to narrow my favorite foods to any less than a hundred or so.

I hope you feel better soon. As a chef trying to work up the ladder, the "4 places I've lived" is wide open, but now I'm happy to be back in upstate New York. I'm trying a variation of your Miche, which I did verbatim with great results a couple of days ago. I want to see what happens with the addition of Spelt and a bit more Rye Flour. My roots as a line cook can't resist the tweaking you wrote about even though I know I need to follow formulas for a reason in bread making. Take care.

I give Susan,
what's a hand weaver? Do you have a loom?
And what kind of nurse practitioner?
I approve of the way you cheat!
Hope you're feeling better soon.
