We made these using your recipe and they turned out great. Delicious! We didn’t add the topping, since where my husband grew up in Mexico, it was more common for them to have no toppings. Anyway, they taste just like in Mexico.

Rather than using the anise star, add a tablespoon of Uzzo, Arrak or Rakki.

YAY. Dia de los Muertos is wonderful to me and it brings along pan de muerto in my house too. Love it love it love it. These bones are fantastic.
