Yep, I had to go to class with tear-stained cheeks and a dopey grin on my face. I swear everyone was glowing that day, like just for one day, the petty little things didn’t matter.

Until I heard the news about our fine mayor in Portland. But the day was awesome until then.

I cried for a full week when he was elected, and since the inauguration I’ve shed a good deal of tears.

I cry when I realize how blessed I am.

Watching President Obama take his oath of office I was reminded of one thought: fresh air.
