BlogHer Food Conference Pass Giveaway!

Attention food bloggers!

You probably know that BlogHer Food, the eating-blogging-meeting-eating conference to be held in San Francisco on September 26, has been sold out for a while.

Here’s your chance to bypass the wait list and the $99 pass price, and get in on the action. Back in May, I grabbed a conference pass while the grabbing was good. Little did I know at that point that I would be having to walk a 22-mile training walk on September 26, and somehow I don’t think I’ll be back in time for a 9 AM conference start. Bad news for me, but good news for you.

I checked with the BlogHer people, and my ticket is transferrable, so I’m happy to pass it on to a lucky random winner. In order to be eligible for this giveaway, you must:

  • have a food blog, or at least a blog that mentions food once or twice.
  • be sure you can attend the conference.
  • give (not sell) the ticket to another deserving blogger in the event that something comes up such that you cannot attend.
  • understand the pass is for the conference only; you will have to make your own arrangements for accommodations and transportation.
  • leave a comment here by 11:59 PM PDT on Friday, August 21. Don’t forget to enter your blog’s url in the comment form.

Finally, if you like that I’m giving up this conference in favor of a 22-mile hike in preparation for walking a marathon, please feel free to donate to my Team in Training Fundraising to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. There’s no obligation, of course, but I’d sure appreciate it!

Ooooh, this would be amazing! I live in the Bay Area and would love to attend the conference, but being a grad student I couldn’t afford the ticket price. :(

Thanks for being nice enough to pass the ticket along to whoever the lucky winner turns out to be! :)

This would be quite wonderful! I should have gotten in there while I could but took too long to check my schedule and ended up out of luck!

I sooo want to attend this and I missed out of Blogher because of a new job. Plus, I would love an excuse to get back to my home state for the weekend!

As I’m training for a marathon, I think it’s cool you don’t want to miss out on your hike :)

Ahh! I would LOVE to go. And good for you for doing the hike.. My friend did the three day breast cancer walk and she said it was the best time.

Thank you for the opportunity! After following the Healthy Living Summit, I would LOVE to go to the conference. I could use some good community right about now…

I would love to go! Plus, the chance to visit San Fran for the first time (and my first true trip to California — I’ve only been to LAX) would be fabulous!

You’re so sweet to do this! I’m a relatively new food blogger which is why I’d really love to attend BlogHer. I’m on the waiting list, and will actually be in San Fran for my 20th wedding anniversary that week! So it would be great to get a ticket. My two blogs are about my mom and I’s adventures through Europe as two Southern foodies, and my brand new blog is where I’ll be trying out lots of new specialty food products and telling the human stories behind the products! Best of luck on the hike for Team In Training – I’m doing a 1/2 marathon this Fall!

I really would love to attend and learn how to improve my blog. I was able to learn great things at the Healthy Living Summit this past weekend, and I’m looking forward to learning more about blogging.

Thanks for all that you’re doing – both the marathon for a great cause and giving the ticket away! My girlfriend (and co-blog master) already has her ticket to the conference but I was a little late and missed out. I would love the opportunity to join her!

That is so sweet of you to offer up this giveaway. I am dying for a ticket and hope to win!

I completed the San Diego marathon with TnT back in may. it was definitely an experience. Good luck with your fundraising!!

oh my GOSH! How very kind of you to not only be raising money for a good cause–but to give up a coveted spot at Blogher Food!! WOW!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go–I have a free-anywhere-in-the-US plane ticket I need to use up before it expires, so this would be the PERFECT use of that.

If you ever stumble on to my blog, you might be able to put together that the only way I would ever be able to attend Blogher is if I won a contest like this. That is why I write a food blog; I have no choice but to make all our food from scratch. :)

Enough of the sob story from me! ha! :) Good luck to all in this contest; keep up the inspiring work!

Oh my goodness!! First off that is so fabulous what you are doing. My best friend just did an event for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and she loved it! I know your going to have a fabulous time!

Second I would LOVE to go to BlogHer! I am kicking myself for not getting a ticket earlier but I couldn’t afford it at the time! I hope I win – and good luck at your event!!!!

I would LOVE to attend a blogging conference, especially one about food…I need all the help I can get for my little blog! And, I LOOVE SF :-)

  14. says

Wow – how completely generous of you! I scrambled to get someone to take over a cooking class I was teaching that weekend, and by the time I did it was sold out. I’ve been dying to get my hands on one, and keep missing out! This would be truly great.

And good for you for doing the marathon – I lost one of my best friends to cancer last year (at age 36). Thank you for making that effort for such an important cause.

  15. says

I would love to go too. A friend of mine whose mom has leukemia is raising money for the even “sail for a cure” in SF. I am really impressed at your commitment. Maybe we can come and cheer you along the way!

    Thank you Susan.

  16. says

Congratulations on your TnT efforts… you’re a rockstar!

I hope whoever is lucky enough to win the ticket (me!! :) ) finds a good way to pay it forward…

Would LOVE to attend – started my professional career a few months ago and haven’t able to blog :( Looking for inspiration/motivation/time to get back into it! Yours is a great inspiration, as is your commitment to Team in Training!

Thank you so much for this opportunity. I just missed getting a ticket–so disappointing. San Francisco is a food mecca and I would be so happy to be able to attend this conference.

I would LOVE to go to BlogHer Food! I just attended the Healthy Living Summit last weekend was overwhelmed by its awesomeness.

While my blog is not exactly a food blog (my husband and I co-blog about the trials and tribulations of trying to get pregnant), I talk about eating whole, natural foods A LOT and would love to attend BlogHer to learn more and taste more!

  20. says

I am so impressed that you are sticking with your commitment to do the walk versus going to BlogHER Food! WTG! You should be proud of that – Off to send a little support your way now :)

I have been on the waiting list forever and trying to get a ticket since it’s sold out. It’s in my city so I’d absolutely LOVE to go and learn how I can make my blog better :)

Good luck with your 22 miles!

I would love to attend the BlogHer Food Conference! I have a food blog at, have booked my flight to SF, I have a place to stay, but so far NO TICKET to the conference! I have been on the waiting list for ages, and as of today, no word that I can get in. So, I would definitely be very appreciative of your extra ticket!

  22. says

So you’re telling me there’s a chance?! Holding on to a glimmer of hope that I too will be attending the sold-out conference this year.
Thanks for giving me this hope!
    Crossing my fingers tight.

  23. says

thanks for the opportunity! it’s right in my backyard and can’t believe I missed out on the chance to get a ticket! best wishes for your marathon!

  24. says

oooooooooo! I wait-listed both Food Conf and BlogHer ’09 to no avail, so am pulling out the Big Guns and will bake my Best Lemon Glazed Poundcake and ship it to your mother if you pick me. Or ship it to you! Thanks (on behalf of whoever wins) for your generosity.

  25. says

Oh man! I wanted to go to this SO bad, but I’m such a new blogger I just couldn’t justify the expense. But if part of the expense was taken out of the equation? Oh yeah! Mommy needs a break!
