as a man who bakes bread (and sings while i do), i feel i MUST. HAVE. THIS. SHIRT! pleaseohpleaseohplease…

  2. Andrew says

As a bread-making man, I would wear such a shirt with my chin held high. (Mostly from enjoying the delicious smell of baking bread, but we can throw some pride in too.)

  3. Juanita says

Yeah. Give me one of those bread-baking men…er shirts. What a pleasant video! All the smiles were contagious.

  4. Nis says

I’m a man. I bake bread. I do sing at times… Until somebody hears me and starts hitting me because I really, really can’t sing.
    I would like the t-shirt though :)

  5. Dale says

I love to bake bread in my manly flour-sack apron. If I also had the t-shirt, I’d be the envy of all the men in my neighborhood. Or maybe I’d just get beat up. Hmmm, I may just rethink this.

  6. says

I love the fact that my husband is the baker in our household. I’m the foodie, though we both adore good, fresh, home-made bread. But he’s the baker.

And, he lives in T-shirts. Would love to win this for him!

  7. Kamber says

My boyfriend makes bread. A lot of bread. We eat so much bread. Delicious, delicious bread. Perhaps if he had this shirt he would sing while baking.

  8. Anne says

The real man in my life loves to bake bread and now I wish he’d sing about it too! Maybe this tee shirt would persuade him…

  9. Peter J. says

I grind the wheat, bake the bread, and of course enjoy eating it! Thanks for such a wonderfully informative and instructional blog.

  10. grant says

I’m an American man living in Finland, the baker and cook in our family. I’m teaching my eight-year-old son to bake, this t-shirt would help reinforce what I’m teaching him. :-)

  11. Tim says

I have made bread. I want to make more. I would love to wear this shirt when my wife is not stealing it. She steals all my shirts.

  12. says

My dad makes yeast based cinnamon rolls-and they kick butt over my grandma’s, who was famous for hers, and much to her eternal disgust. :)

  13. Theresa says

Love it! That shirt would be awesome for my brother who is an avid bread baker. (or for me even though I’m not a man)

  14. hundredmiledog says

A real man gave me my first sourdough starter, and patiently coached me through the process. He’d wear this shirt with pride.

  15. Andy Sicignano says

Been baking bread for 40 years or so…. can’t sing a lick, but I just started learning piano

  16. Avery says

As a male college student, I have not bought any sort of bread in the past 7 months. I bake all of it for me and my five roommates and I only think it responsible to be wearing such a quality top while doing so.

  17. Cheryl says

I’m lucky enough to have two bread baking men in my home. First my husband learned the skills, then my teenage son claims he learned the “art of bread fu” from Dad! With that shirt, Dad could learn the art of “fashion fu.”

  18. says

“I have often maintained that the best poet is he who prepares our daily bread: the nearest baker, who does not imagine himself to be a god. He does his majestic and unpretentious work of kneading the dough, consigning it to the oven, baking it in golden colors, and handing us our daily bread as a duty of fellowship. And if the poet succeeds in achieving this simple consciousness, this too will be transformed into an element in an immense activity… the handing over of mankind’s products: bread, truth, wind, dreams.” Pablo Neruda, Nobel Address, 1971. Real men also write poetry 8^).

  19. Patacake says

    I’m a baker, and I’m okay.
I sleep all night and I work all day.
I knead my dough. I eat my lunch.
    I go to the lavatory.
    On Wednesdays I go shoppin’
And have buttered scones for tea.
I knead my dough. I skip and jump.
I like to press wild flowers.
    I put on women’s clothing
    And hang around in bars.
I knead my dough. I wear high heels,
    Suspendies, and a bra.
    I wish I’d been a girlie,
    Just like my dear Papa.

  20. Neta says

My man does not bake, he just eats the bread I make. maybe if i get him a t-shirt so sweet
he will start baking me bread instead of just eat (:

  21. Howard says

Men who bake bread trade recipes on a knead-to-know basis. I really like that shirt and would love to have one!

  22. Fred says

As a man who bakes the bread for our house every week, I feel I “knead” and would proudly wear this shirt.

  23. Fallon says

This is a fantastic song. It will be stuck in my head all day.
My dad sent me a link to this, and I’d love to give him that shirt. Some of my earliest memories involve “daddy bread”, and how it was always so much better than store-bought.

  24. Bryan Hugill says

Real men also make their own butter and cheese to go on the bread…and make their own soap to wash everything up with afterwards :)

  25. jacky brown says

this is great, and I have a fellow who could use this Tee! Thank you for the story and the chance to win a shirt!!!

  28. Brett says

My real man really sings and bakes bread. Now I just need to write him a song about it and give him this awesome Tshirt to wear under his chile pepper apron. We heart Yeast.

  29. Fred says

My name’s Fred and I bake my own bread.
I should have found this site a few days ago instead.
    I know I can’t win,
but it won’t be a sin,
if I order one and then,
wear it while I’m baking my bread!

I know poetry isn’t my thing!

  30. Greg H. says

Hey! I’m a rel man and I need one of these to wear while I bake bread….which is daily! And the winner is…..

  31. says

    Hi Susan,
I would wear this shirt with pride until it fell, torn and in tatters, soiled with flour and sweat from my battered torso. If I don’t win this shirt, then I will order several from the website link, it’s an awesome T.
Hope your classes are going well.
    Happy Baking!
    -David
